Scholarships & Awards

Honors Scholarship

Students who maintain an “A” average (93-100%) during the entire seventh grade and the first semester of eighth grade and have satisfactory marks in conduct and effort are awarded an honors scholarship of $1,000 for their freshman year. This scholarship is renewable annually, as long as the student maintains a minimum 3.5 cumulative grade point average at Padua.

Students do not need to fill out an application for this scholarship. All students are automatically considered when they release their 7th and 8th grade transcripts to Padua when applying for admission.

Placement Test Scholarship

Students may earn a $1,000-$5,000 scholarship by being among the top 30 scorers on one of the first three Padua placement tests given to eighth graders each year.  The top three awards (of $5,000, $4,000 and $3,000) are renewable annually. The fourth through 30th scholarships (valued at $2,000 and $1,000) are one-time, non-renewable scholarships. Our Important Dates page has all the details.

Music Scholarship

Students with a talent in instrumental and/or vocal music may audition by appointment for a partial music scholarship ($500-$2,000) sponsored by the Padua Music Association. Scholarship winners are notified in December.

Class of 2021 St. Francis Scholarship

Inspired by St. Francis, scholar and teacher, this need-based scholarship is designed to assist freshman applicants who otherwise could not afford a Catholic education.  Recipients must show significant need and may be awarded $1,000 to $3,000, renewable each year, as long as the student maintains a minimum 2.5 cumulative grade point average at Padua. To be eligible for consideration, you must  complete the FACTS Grant & Aid Assessment application along with the St. Francis Scholarship Application .

Work-Study Program

Students may be selected for employment by Padua Franciscan to do light custodial duties, immediately after school and during the summer months. A limited number of positions are available, and applications are available to Padua students (15 years of age and older) through the Padua Business Office. Students are paid an hourly wage. Click here to access the application

C.Y.O. Work Program

This is designed to assist students who have demonstrated financial need. Students work during scheduled C.Y.O. athletic events at Padua. Students must complete an application for C.Y.O. work and must have the FACTS Grant & Aid Assessment completed. Click here to access the C.Y.O. application. Limited spots are available.

Pre-Payment Discount

Tuition will be discounted $250 if paid in full by July 31, prior to the start of the school year.

Sibling Discount

Tuition of each additional sibling in the family attending concurrently is discounted $1,500.

Miscellaneous Scholarships

A number of parishes, schools and organizations also award grants to high school students (i.e. Knights of Columbus, Czech Catholic Union, First Catholic Slovak Ladies Association, Catholic War Veterans and various Catholic elementary school Parent-Teacher scholarships.) You must inquire directly to the individual groups and organizations.
