Although many consider track to be an individual sport, the motivated Padua track team is different. The team genuinely cares for one another, regardless of talent or abilities. The co-ed Varsity teams are on the right track, as they shatter previous school records and excel to a higher level. The girls’ track team has won the NCL Championship three times (1998, 1999, 2000). The boys’ team has won five North Coast League titles (1991, 1993, 2004, 2005, 2006). The Bruins also claimed a championship in the Crown Conference in 1974. In 1994, John Szopo II won a State Championship in the 200 meter dash.
