The Lady Bruins Volleyball Team swept past Columbus Bishop Hartley in three sets to win the program’s fourth OHSAA Division II State Title in school history.
After defeating the number one ranked, undefeated Lake Catholic High School on Thursday, November 10, 2016 in the State Semi-Final, the Lady Bruins had momentum in their favor. However they had a tough task in defeating Columbus Bishop Hartley, who was making their sixth appearance at the State Tournament.
Padua took the first set 25-17. Padua went on a big rally in the second set and made the final five points of the match go in their favor, ending at 25-17. The third set ended 25-20.
This is Padua’s fourth State Title in Volleyball and its first since 2013.
