During the annual Coin Wars competition, freshmen, sophomores, juniors, seniors and faculty/staff competed against each other to raise the most money. It was an action-packed battle involving the entire school. Students brought in baggies full of coins and cash they saved or collected from loved ones throughout the year.
This year, our juniors brought in the most coins, but the freshmen came out on top.

“Students at Padua truly believe that it’s better to give than to receive,” said Principal David Stec.
All month long our students, faculty, staff and alumni participate in our Christmas For Others fundraiser. CFO is a program designed to make the holidays brighter for the less fortunate. All proceeds go to local families and charities like the Salvation Army, hunger centers, food pantries, and the homeless. This year, donations will be distributed to dozens of worthy causes during our CFO Mass on Friday, December 16, 2016.
For 45 years, the Padua community has come together in the Franciscan spirit of giving. Since its inception in 1971, CFO has raised nearly $500,000 for charity. Last December, we raised more than $31,000, in addition to thousands of items (food, clothing, books and toys) for the underprivileged. CFO is the largest student-run fundraiser in Northeast Ohio. It is sponsored, organized and operated by the students, under the direction of Padua’s Key (Kiwanis) Club.
