This year, more than 1,000 entries were submitted to the Cleveland Clinic’s eXpressions Art Program. The eXpressions Art program is an interdisciplinary program that utilizes the arts to engage high school students in the world of scientific research. According to their website, the program ties in state and national academic standards, giving participants a deeper, real-world understanding of art and science while promoting creativity, communication, critical thinking and team work.
Padua senior Samantha Hanna ’15 was awarded one out of 63 awards.
The award-winning works are now on display at the Cleveland Museum of Art. Artworks will also be featured in the eXpressions program’s print and online art catalogs.
