SKI CLUB
Padua skis locally at Boston Mills on Tuesdays in January, February and March.  This weekly ski club program includes lift tickets, lessons and bus transportation for the first five weeks.  Rentals are included if you purchases a rental package.  Participants get free lift tickets and rentals every Tuesday after the first five sessions.  A freebie card is also included.  The freebie card is good for three free lift tickets for non-renters and three free lift tickets plus rentals for rental members.  These freebie passes are good at Boston Mills or Brandywine anytime the resorts are open.  Applications for the 07-08 ski season are available in the General Office.  They are due by November 16, 2007.  Go to www.bmbw.com for more information.

We will start skiing the first Tuesday back from vacation, January 8, 2008.  If you have ski's or a board, you can leave them in room 139 (Mr. Jennrich's office) when you get to school and pick them up after school.  The bus will be behind the gym after school.  The bus leaves at 2:45pm.  Change into your ski clothes and bring your books and school clothes with you on the bus.  You may not be able to get to your locker when the bus returns at 8:00pm.

Each year the ski club charters a bus to Holiday Valley, New York.  We have a bus scheduled for Monday, February 29, 2008.  That is a non-holiday week day.  Lift tickets and rentals are much less expensive and the slopes are not crowded.  Bus and skiing are extra for this day.  Bus is $25.  Lift tickets are $28 instead of $45 or $52.  Rentals are just $10 more.  A great deal.  Check out Holiday Valley at www.holidayvalley.com.

The ski club has offered Christmas or Easter trips to ski areas from Vermont to the French Alps.  This year we are planning a trip to "Smugglers Notch" in Vermont the week of Monday, March 24 to Friday, March 28, 2008.  Smugglers Notch has 2600 feet of vertical drops.  Boston Mills has 200.  Lodging is ski in-ski out.  Cost is $525.  This price includes; Round-trip motor coach transportation, four days of lift tickets, four dinners and four breakfasts, slope side lodging, use of pools and fun zone activities.   This event fills  up very quickly.  It is filled on a  first come first serve basis.  A $50 deposit and signed form brought to the attendance office will hold your spot.  Check out Smugglers Notch at www.smuggs.com.
