Padua Franciscan makes an annual mission trip to the Central American country of Honduras, the second-poorest country in the Western Hemisphere. Faculty moderators and students stay at the Volunteer House of APUFRAM (Association of Franciscan Boys and Girls Homes), a Franciscan Mission (www.MissionHonduras.com) in central Honduras. During their stay, the Padua Franciscan students participate in a work project, visit with the children in the Mission’s schools and dormitories, and live simply in community with the long-term volunteers serving at the Mission.
