In response to Bishop Anthony Pilla's call for solidarity in the region among Catholics in the Cleveland Diocese, Padua began a "Church in the City" partnership with Saint Francis Elementary School on the east side of Cleveland (East 71st St. and Superior Avenue) in the mid-1990's. Since then, our partnership has grown and blossomed into a well-developed relationship which reaches almost all grade levels at both schools. Here are the main activities that we participate in each year.Currently, we participate in the following activities:
- Weekly Visits for tutoring 8th grade students at Saint Francis, and visiting and playing with the younger students as a part of the extended day program. Each Wednesday, around 4 to 8 students leave Padua at 3:00, and return back to school at 5:30.
- Seven Saint Francis School 8th grade students visited Padua for our annual St. Francis Liturgy (our common patron's feast day) and they performed a liturgical dance during mass.
- Spring Sports Camps in volleyball and basketball put on for 7th and 8th grade students by players and coaches of Padua volleyball and basketball teams.
- A spring Landscaping Project focused on the maintenance, upkeep, and beautification of the property at Saint Francis. This is done by members of the Padua and Saint Francis communities.

In the past, we have done these activities:
- Winter Cheerleading Camp for 5th grade girls put on by the Padua Cheerleading teams and coaching staff.
- Fall Soccer Camp for 7th and 8th grade students put on by the Padua Soccer Program and coaching staff.
- Robotics Activity: Twenty-five to thirty Saint Francis School students and teachers will visit Padua once in the spring to learn about and build simple Lego Mindsweeper robots with five to seven Padua students and teachers involved with Padua's Robotics club.
- Book-Making Project: Ten Padua art students join St. Francis School fifth-grade students to plan, illustrate, write, and publish a book.
