CHEERLEADING
Cheerleading tryouts for Freshmen, Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors are held in the spring. You have the chance to cheer for football or basketball, as a junior varsity or varsity cheerleader. Padua cheerleaders lead the student body in enthusiastic support during athletic competition. They also promote school spirit by making signs, decorating lockers, and planning and participating in pep rallies.

MARCHING BAND
The Padua Franciscan "Marching Bruins" are comprised of students of all grades and ability levels who play any wind or percussion instruments, dance, or would like to spin a flag.  The marching band performs at all varsity football games, pep rallies, and other selected events such as parades or band shows through out the year.  Other performances in recent years have included:  The Cleveland St. Patrick's Day Parade (Where the band has received 2 consecutive 1st place finishes!), the Parma Labor Day Parade, Downtown Cleveland's "Winterfest," and band shows in Parma, Avon Lake, Medina, and Lorain.  Throughout the first semester, the band rehearses on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 3:30pm - 5:30pm.  All members must attend summer band camp during the last two weeks of July.  Attendance is mandatory at all rehearsals and performances unless approved by the director in advance of any absences.  Course grade and credit are awarded at the end of the first semester (1/4 credit).

The Padua Franciscan "Bruinettes" Dance Team is one unit of the Padua Franciscan
Marching Band.  The Bruinettes are comprised of 10-14 girls who are accepted by

responsible for all rehearsals and performances as outlined by the Padua Franciscan
Marching Band schedule.  The Bruinettes also host a one-day clinic on
     President's Day for grades 4 through 8.

     COLOR GUARD
The Padua Franciscan Color Guard is one unit of the Padua Franciscan Marching
Band.  The color guard is comprised of 10 - 14 girls who are accepted by

and performances as outlined by the Padua Franciscan Marching Band schedule.
