Padua currently has two donor societies — the Friar Club and the Padua 1K Club.

The Friar Club

The Friar Club recognizes those who have reached certain cumulative levels of giving.  Once inducted, you are a Friar Club member for life!

You can become a Friar Club member through either current or deferred giving at the following levels:

• A deferred gift of $25,000 or more through a trust or a will; or
• Assignment of an existing or new life insurance policy ($25,000 minimum) naming Padua Franciscan as sole owner and beneficiary; or
• A gift or pledge of $10,000 or more for any purpose, including current financial aid, Endowment, or other academic, athletic, or capital improvements.

Note that your pledge, trust, bequest, or gift may be funded by cash, stock, or real property, subject to approval.

Benefits of Membership

Benefits for membership in the Friar Club include membership pin, invitation to annual Friar Club dinner and other Friar Club receptions, free admission to all Padua-hosted athletic and fine arts performances, and reduced fees for annual James W. Day Golf Tournament and Bruin Benefit events. The names of members are also inscribed on a plaque located in Padua’s main lobby.

Padua 1K Club

The Padua 1K Club recognizes those who have made an on-going commitment to give at least $1,000 per year to support the Padua program of their choice.  Donors have the option to renew their membership, their level of support, and the beneficiary program near the anniversary of their membership date. Our goal is to have at least 1,000 members who are committed to giving $1,000 or more to the school each year, resulting in an annual impact of $1 million!  Note that donations toward the P1K program count toward eventual membership in the Friar Club.
