Friday, June 1, 2018, 7:00 p.m.
Holy Family Church
7367 York Road, Parma 44130
Note to families: Doors to Holy Family Church open at 6:15 p.m.
Seniors report to the Fr. Costello Community Center’s cafeteria no later than 6:00 p.m. There will be a designated table for each homeroom. Girls will receive their flowers at this time. You must be in full academic dress (gown, cap and tassel). Boys must be in shirt and tie as well as dress pants and dress shoes. Girls should be in dresses or suits with appropriate footwear – no flip-flops! The white gowns allow brightly colored dresses or suits to show through, so be careful to wear a color or print that will not show through the white gown. Normal dress code rules involving shaving, hair and jewelry (i.e, earrings, nose rings, etc.) apply for this event. There will be no gum chewing!
Your homeroom teacher will assist you in lining up for the procession to Holy Family Church. We will line up inside the cafeteria and process to the church at 6:50 p.m.
Diploma covers will be given to you during the Commencement exercises. Actual diplomas will be distributed in the cafeteria following the ceremonies. To receive your diploma, return to the designated homeroom table from which you lined up IMMEDIATELY following Commencement exercises. We will only distribute the diplomas for fifteen minutes, so please save picture taking and visiting until after checking back with your homeroom teacher. If you do not get your diploma in time, you will have to pick it up in the Padua General Office anytime after 8:00 a.m. Monday, June 4, 2018.
Tickets to Commencement will be passed out at the graduation practice. Each senior will receive four tickets to this event. If you are in need of more than four tickets, you must find a classmate who is not in need of all four of their tickets. There may be a limited number of extra tickets available for special circumstances. The procedure for distribution of these tickets that might be available will be given at the graduation practice. Seniors themselves do not need tickets. Underclassmen siblings can serve as ushers for Commencement and would not need a ticket. If a graduating senior has a sibling(s) who are sophomores or juniors at Padua, they may submit their sibling(s) names(s) to Mr. Giulivo or Mrs. DeCesare at graduation practice, May 18. Sibling-ushers will be notified in writing by Mrs. DeCesare and Mr. Giulivo.
There will be a catered reception of desserts and beverages in the Fr. Costello Community Center Gymnasium immediately following the Commencement exercises. All graduates and their families are welcome.
