Nora Mahoney ’06 was recently featured in Cleveland Magazine’s “Ones to Watch” section. She is the vice president and counsel at Carleton McKenna & Co., a boutique investment banking firm.

She has experience with securities regulation, corporate governance, and broker dealer registrations. Mahoney is primarily responsible for the execution of capital raisings and private placement assignments across a variety of industries.

While in law school, Mahoney was part of both district and appellate litigation research teams and served as clinician for the South Royalton Legal Clinic. In addition, she worked for Attorney General Mike DeWine where she was actively involved in many aspects of pretrial practice.

She received her Bachelors in Biology and Sustainability from Baldwin Wallace University, and Juris Doctor and Masters from Vermont Law School.  She is a member of the Board of Trustees of Baldwin Wallace University and is actively involved in various nonprofits and associations. In 2016, she was named by Crain’s Cleveland Business  as one of “20 in their 20s.”

“Padua provided me with an extensive education both inside and out of the classroom, enabling me to start my collegiate career with the confidence to handle a rigorous curriculum,” Mahoney said. “My high school experience laid the foundation that prepared me to think strategically, thoughtfully, and critically – which has proven to be of paramount importance to my work each day.”
