Broadway Actor Inspires ‘Newsies’ Cast & Crew during Master Class

Students in the cast and crew of Padua’s upcoming production of Newsies were fortunate enough to have the opportunity to partake in a Broadway Master Class offered by Danny Quadrino, an alumnus of the original Broadway production in New York. Danny worked with the cast on a variety of scenes from the show, giving tips and suggestions on their acting, staging, dancing and singing.

As a veteran of professional theater in New York and having just finished the national tour of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory as Mike Teavee, Danny was full of fun stories to tell, advice to give, and favorite “Broadway bloopers” to share in a brief Q&A that concluded our time together. Padua’s cast and crew is blessed to have received so many great suggestions and wonderful feedback.

Quadrino’s other Broadway credits include Wicked (as Boq), Newsies (as Albert) and the revival of Bye Bye Birdie. He made his network television debut in NBC’s Peter Pan Live as Bunting, one of the Lost Boys.
