The 31st annual Bruin Benefit Celebrazione raised a record-breaking $398,892 (net) on Saturday, April 29, 2023.
We honored new Hall of Fame members James Gaydosh ’78 (Outstanding Alumnus Award), Dr. Kelly (Smith) Gibson ’00 (Outstanding Alumna Award), Joseph Hanna ’79 and Maria Ramundo (Franciscan Medal Award), and Ray and Eleanor Smiley (Franciscan Medal Award). President David Stec ’86 and Vice President of Advancement Tony Shuman ’91 brought humor and passion as they led the Hall of Fame Induction, live auction and Fund-A-Bruin segments of the evening.
Senior Abby Recker ’23 shared her moving story about battling cancer and her gratitude for Padua’s supportive faculty, staff and community. Generous donors helped enhance various programs, resources and opportunities, which made all the difference throughout her high school career. She will graduate from Padua with honors and is attending The Ohio State University in the fall.
