Fishing Club Makes a Splash with Students

Thirty students joined Padua’s newly-formed Fishing Club. The group is planning a number of local fishing trips, outings and tournaments in the spring and fall.

St. Francis of Assisi loved nature, the outdoors and animals. In an effort to incorporate a Franciscan element, the club will participate in a spring cleanup, which will help environmental and conservation efforts.

Moderators Chris Zgrabik and Bob DiRocco have applied for multiple grants, both locally and nationally. So far, Missouri-based Lew’s Fishing sent Padua’s Fishing Club $1,000 in brand new rods and reels.
