The Padua community celebrated the 30th anniversary of the founding of The Friar Club on November 3, 2018. More than 100 Friar Club members and special guests enjoyed cocktails, dinner and student entertainment, followed by a passionate commentary from nationally syndicated speaker, Hugh Hewitt. He spoke about the value of Catholic education in today’s world. Fr. Allan DaCorte, ofm, presented The Friar Club members with a commemorative plate to mark this special 30th year celebration.
Alum and former Vice President of Advancement Jerry Jindra ’70 was presented with a statue of St. Francis of Assisi and a framed plaque, in thanks and recognition for his foresight in beginning The Friar Club in 1988. Jerry retired in June 2017 after serving in this role for more than 30 years.

Individuals, corporations or foundations can ensure the future of Franciscan education at Padua by making a current (including cumulative) or deferred (planned/future) gift of $25,000 or more.
Some of the ways you can do this are:
- A deferred gift through a trust or a will, or the assignment of an existing or new life insurance policy, naming Padua Franciscan High School as sole owner and beneficiary.
- A cumulative gift or a pledge for any purpose, including financial aid, endowment or capital improvements.
Lifetime member benefits include recognition on the Padua website, in The Paduan magazine, and on The Friar Club plaque, prominently displayed in the school. Members are invited to the annual Friar Club Induction Dinner and the Reception with the President.
