Kacey Pagano Named National Merit Finalist

School counselor Mrs. Amy Decesare and Principal Mr. David Stec ’86 presented senior Kacey Pagano ’19 with her National Merit Finalist certificate on Wednesday, February 13, 2019.

Padua Franciscan High School senior Kacey Pagano ’19 was recognized as a National Merit Finalist in February 2019.

Approximately 15,000 finalists throughout the nation have been recognized for their exceptional academic promise. These finalists represent less than one percent of U.S. high school seniors. More than 1.6 million students entered the 2019 competition by taking the 2017 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test.

“I am extremely grateful to be selected for such a prestigious honor. Padua Franciscan High School and its MedTrack program have played a huge part in shaping me to be the academic success that I am today,” said Pagano.

As a graduate of St. Albert the Great School, Kacey is a well-rounded student – who is involved in many programs, teams and clubs at Padua. She is a four-year participant in our MedTrack® program and completed an externship at the Cleveland Clinic Main Campus. Kacey is a member of National Honor Society. She is a leader in our Student Ambassador program and youth summer camps. She is a member of the Varsity Girls Soccer team, Latin Club, American Sign Language Club and Astronomy Club. She volunteers with seniors living with dementia or Alzheimer’s at several local nursing homes.
