The Padua Athletic Department announced the hiring of Kevin Kubit for their Football program on Tuesday, March 14, 2023. Coach Kubit has been an assistant coach for the Bruins since 2009, serving as position coach, plus offensive and defensive coordinators during his time at Padua. Kubit becomes the 9th head coach in Padua Football history with the start of the 2023-24 season.
“We’re very excited to announce Kevin Kubit as our next head coach for the Padua Football program. Kevin brings a ton of experience learning from different head coaches over the years: Coach Jerry Schuplinski at Trinity, then Coach Tony Shuman ’91 and Coach Mike Polevacik at Padua. He also brings some continuity to the position coming off a Regional Final appearance with a number of starters returning for next season. I know he’s anxious to start working with our guys and get started for next season,” says Athletic Director Kevin Leigh ’89.
“I am honored for the opportunity to lead the Padua Football program on and off the field. My family and I believe and support everything about Padua Franciscan High School. It’s exciting to continue the tradition of the Padua Football program,” said Kubit.
