Lenten Collection Raises $2,650 for Central Americans

During Lent, the Catholic Church invites everyone to participate in three traditional practices of prayer, fasting and almsgiving (or giving to others).

Our Spanish Club wanted to help Central American communities. They teamed up with a non-profit called the Pulsera Project. Our students helped raise $2,650 by selling 500 bracelets or “pulseras” and 15 purses to help improve the lives of people in Guatemala and Nicaragua. The proceeds will help with jobs, fair trade, education and scholarships.
