Padua Franciscan High School kicked off its 60th anniversary celebration with an Outdoor Mass and Fireworks display at Padua Stadium on Saturday, August 14, 2021. More than 1,000 Bruins, alumni and supporters joined us for the special night filled with faith and family.

The Mass presider was Fr. Thomas Nairn, OFM, provincial minister of the Sacred Heart Province of Franciscans (from St. Louis, Missouri). The homilist was Padua alumnus Fr. Joe Mamich ’97, who serves as pastor of St. Joseph Church in Strongsville. He delivered a message about the importance of always having hope. Additionally, a dozen priests and deacons from around the Diocese participated in the Mass. Dozens of Padua alumni sang in the church choir.

The Padua community said a blessing over its newly installed President David Stec ’86. “We’re at an incredible point in the history of our school,” Stec said. “It is time to celebrate the past and also build on the work of so many before us…as we begin a new era.”
