Jimi McAdams ’19 was the recipient of the 2018 Champions in the Community Award from Our Lady of the Wayside. Jimi was one of three high school students to receive an award for his philanthropic work in the community – volunteering with the Adapted Football League for four years.
The AFL provides children with disabilities the opportunity to participate in an organized, competitive, and developmental sport.
Padua football players, along with faculty Mr. Tony Shuman ’91 and Mr. Andy Shuman ’95 have volunteered for the program since 2011.
The award ceremony was held on Tuesday, October 30, 2018 in Cleveland.
