Full-Time Assistant Director of Communication

Position Purpose: As the Assistant Director of Communication, you will work directly with the Vice President of Strategic Communication to support and manage various school communications and social media.

Reports to: Vice President of Strategic Communication

Assistant Director of Communication Responsibilities:

  • Remain current and knowledgeable with the processes, procedures, offerings and programs of Padua Franciscan High School.
  • Execute social media strategies.
  • Create, edit and post content on social media platforms, including Facebook, X, Instagram, YouTube, SnapChat and TikTok.
  • Work with faculty and staff on content creation for all platforms.
  • Take and edit pictures and videos at various events.
  • Take, edit and create promotional videos.
  • Manage and update content on paduafranciscan.com.
  • Develop and execute digital ad strategy.
  • Manage digital reviews including outreach.
  • Write and proofread for Communication, Advancement and Admissions Departments.
  • Assist with The Paduan magazine publication, which is released biannually.
  • Promote positive news (involving current students, alumni and employees) to grade schools and parishes.

Assistant Director of Communication Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, English, marketing, public relations, or journalism.
  • Possess a solid understanding of effective marketing techniques.
  • Must have excellent writing and editing skills.
  • Be able to communicate clearly and effectively.
  • Strong time-management, prompt follow-up, and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of traditional and digital marketing, content marketing, and social media marketing.
  • Expertise in multiple social media platforms.
  • Ability to deliver creative content (text, image and video).
  • Ability to work on a team in a fast-paced environment.
