Position Purpose: As the Assistant Director of Communication, you will work directly with the Vice President of Strategic Communication to support and manage various school communications and social media.
Reports to: Vice President of Strategic Communication
Assistant Director of Communication Responsibilities:
- Remain current and knowledgeable with the processes, procedures, offerings and programs of Padua Franciscan High School.
- Execute social media strategies.
- Create, edit and post content on social media platforms, including Facebook, X, Instagram, YouTube, SnapChat and TikTok.
- Work with faculty and staff on content creation for all platforms.
- Take and edit pictures and videos at various events.
- Take, edit and create promotional videos.
- Manage and update content on paduafranciscan.com.
- Develop and execute digital ad strategy.
- Manage digital reviews including outreach.
- Write and proofread for Communication, Advancement and Admissions Departments.
- Assist with The Paduan magazine publication, which is released biannually.
- Promote positive news (involving current students, alumni and employees) to grade schools and parishes.
Assistant Director of Communication Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, English, marketing, public relations, or journalism.
- Possess a solid understanding of effective marketing techniques.
- Must have excellent writing and editing skills.
- Be able to communicate clearly and effectively.
- Strong time-management, prompt follow-up, and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of traditional and digital marketing, content marketing, and social media marketing.
- Expertise in multiple social media platforms.
- Ability to deliver creative content (text, image and video).
- Ability to work on a team in a fast-paced environment.
