Message from the Principal

January 27th,

The Week that Was and the Week to Come – SNOW DAY! The storm may not have been quite what was predicted, but the snow day seems to have been much appreciated by both students and faculty and staff. To be honest, I took advantage and enjoyed the day, too. There are a lot of wonderful things happening here everyday. I’m assuming you received my email regarding the ALICE presentation in the gym. Please don’t hesitate to let me know if you have any concerns about the safety and security at Padua. I will be releasing the 2023-2023 School Calendar to the public next week. I want a couple more days to look it over and make sure it is accurate. I am already working on the calendar for 2024-2025 and will not wait too long to release that, as well. When you see next year’s calendar, you will notice days highlighted for delayed start. With the exception of December, these delayed start days will occur twice a month from September through May. For planning purposes, all delayed starts, with the exception of one in November, will fall on a Wednesday. Please look for more details in future editions of the Bruin Beat and this weekly update regarding times and protocols, as well as why we are moving to this model. This will not change the end of the school day.

Peace and all good,

Bob DiRocco

Catholic Schools Week is January 29th to February 4th.  During that week we thank and celebrate all those people who support Catholic education.  At 7:30am on Thursday, February 2, Friar Johnpaul will celebrate a Mass thanking God specifically for parents whose sacrifice and effort make the existence of Padua possible.  All parents are invited to attend the Mass that will take place in the Campus Ministry Center Chapel.  A coffee and donut reception will follow.  If you plan to attend, please RSVP to Mr. Steve Suding no later than Tuesday, January 31.
