We registered the Class of 2028 for classes this week and the course registration process has wrapped up for all returning students. We are only a week away from Spring Break and the end of the quarter, as well. And thank you to all the families who answered the call – all of our German visitors have a place to stay for their visit. I am very grateful for your hospitality and willingness to help.

SENIOR PACKET of end of the year events:     Prom Packet 2024

Class of 2027:

On Tuesday, March 19, the freshmen will participate in an in-school workshop and dialogue as part of the English unit on the novel Speak.  It will cover themes of bullying, sexual assault, and mental health; resources will be made available as students understand and cope with these issues. This workshop, taking place during 1st and 2nd periods, includes activities and Q&A sessions with counselors, Padua’s School Resource Officers from Parma Police Department, Counseling, and English 9 teachers. 

PARENT SPONSORED AFTER PROM:

Hello Padua Class of 2024 Families!    

My name is Melissa Kinzie and I am one of the parents volunteering to help plan the Class of 2024´s After Prom. I wanted to touch base with information and details regarding the planning process and fundraising activities that are happening to support the after-prom event for our kids.

The purpose of this email is to spread the word to Padua families regarding our After Prom Event. A small group of parents have started planning the After Prom and we are needing your help and support! There are several ways we will be communicating information, as follows: 

  1. After Prom Google Site, click here: ’24 After Prom Google Site  This will serve as our hub for detailed information and updates regarding the event and fundraising activities.  
  2. After Prom Facebook Page, click here: ’24 After Prom Facebook Page This is our Facebook page dedicated for sharing After Prom updates with senior parents. 
  3. Padua Resource Page: Any new After Prom information that becomes available will be posted on the Padua Parent Resources located on the Padua Franciscan High School website. 

Please be sure to join our Facebook page and check the google site and parent resource page regularly for updates!  

First…some details:

After-Prom: Friday, May 3rd, 11pm (thru May 4 3am) at Swings-N-Things

Approximate Cost to Attend: $27 per person* (Swings-n-Things After Prom Flyer

*Price includes admission, all activities noted in flyer, and catered food.

DJ: DJ will be provided 

Food: Catered food will be provided 

Fundraising: In process.  Please go to the ’24 After Prom Google Site or ’24 After Prom Facebook Page for all the fundraising activities.

Fundraisers

Please keep in mind that fundraising is extremely important in order to cover the costs for the DJ, food, prizes, and any additional activities (such as casino night type games).

In addition, we will be seeking donations from any person or company in order to help defray our costs. Please help us secure monetary or prize donations! Anyone wishing to donate can do so through our dedicated Venmo Account ’24 AfterProm Venmo Account 

We currently have several chairpersons heading up specific areas, but we need more volunteers to ensure success. Please let me know if you are interested in taking a lead or co-leading with someone by completing this form: Join the Padua 24 After Prom Committee

2024-2025 FINANCIAL AID REMINDER

If your family has received need-based financial aid for the 2023/24 school year, you must re-apply and submit a 2024/25 Facts Grant & Aid Application (https://online.factsmgt.com/signin/4HPQS) to be eligible for financial aid for the coming school year. All families requesting financial aid through Padua Franciscan High School are required to apply for their appropriate scholarship through the Ohio Department of Education & Workforce (i.e. EdChoice, Cleveland Scholarship) as well.

By submitting this single FACTS application your student(s) will be eligible for consideration for financial aid through Padua Franciscan High School and the Diocese of Cleveland for the 2024/25 school year.  The Diocese of Cleveland will require submission of your 2023 tax information when it is available.

2024-2024 ANGEL SCHOLARHSIP TUITION ASSISTANCE

The Angel Scholarship Fund has been established through the Catholic Community Foundation to support the tuition needs of families.  Families who wish to be considered for an award through the Angel Scholarship Fund must have submitted a FACTS Grant & Aid Application and complete the Angel Scholarship Application by March 30, 2024.

Families will receive the Angel Scholarship Application through Padua’s MyPad portal.  Please sign and submit the application through MyPad by March 30, 2024.  Please contact the Business Office if you have questions.

2024-2025 FUND A DREAM SCHOLARSHIP

Fund A Dream is a special tuition assistance scholarship program funded by the Catholic Community Foundation. Through this initiative, donors are paired with deserving students. Each student is granted a $2,500 scholarship, reducing their annual tuition fees for one school year, thanks to funds raised at the Alleluia Ball. Apply (https://www.catholiccommunity.org/parish-school/fund-a-dream-resources/application-portal) AFTER you’ve been accepted to Padua. The deadline to apply is March 25, 2024.

A MESSAGE FROM THE NORTH ROYALTON DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION

PLEASE NOTE:

Below are the dates for the 2023-2024 school year when ONLY the NR Transfer Bus will run:

  • Friday, March 22, 2024
  • Tuesday, April 2 – Friday, April 5, 2024
  • Monday, April 8, 2024

On the above days, students must find their own transportation to and from North Royalton High School to utilize the Transfer Bus.

Please communicate this information to your parents so they are informed early on.
