National Grandparents Day, September 10, 2023, is a nationally recognized day to celebrate the bond between grandparents and grandchildren. The Advancement Team, in a joint effort with Campus Ministry, recognized this important day by inviting all freshmen and their grandparents to celebrate Mass together. Nearly 175 grandparents accompanied their grandchildren to celebrate the day. As the celebrant, Friar Johnpaul Cafiero, OFM reminisced about his own grandparents and their garden, likening grandparents to the fertile soil from which a strong family grows. The Mass was followed by a reception with refreshments and a special gift for each grandparent in attendance.
