Tessa Brousek ’25 Wins Second Gymnastics All-Around State Title

March 4th, 2024 | News

Padua junior gymnast Tessa Brousek ’25 won the OHSAA Gymnastics All-Around Competition in Columbus on Sunday, March 3, 2024 with a score of 38.45. That is the third highest score in OHSAA tournament history. Brousek also won the Uneven Bars and took third on the Vault. Brousek now has three individual State Titles, which is the most in school history!

Brousek described winning her first State Title in 2023 as a day she will never forget, but number two was even better. “Winning this second title is just a little more special. I think it shows the never-ending work that goes into gymnastics, not only from me, but my coaches, parents, and all the people there to support me,” said Brousek. “There’s certainly pressure to go into a state competition trying to follow up a win from the previous year, so knowing just to be myself and compete how I know best will do the trick is incredibly rewarding.”
