Two Bruins were selected to participate in the 2019 High School Honors Performance Series at Carnegie Hall in New York City.

Juniors Grant Bell ’20 performed with the Honors Concert Choir and Michael Dontenville ’20 performed percussion with the Honors Symphony Orchestra in February 2019.

Michael described the experience as a once in a lifetime opportunity. “Playing with talented high school musicians from around the world in one of the world’s most famous music halls was a life-changing experience and has encouraged me to pursue music in college and play professionally,” he said.

Over 10,000 students from across the world applied, but only 700 were accepted – half for vocal performances and half for instrumental.

The Honors Performance Series was established to feature talented young musicians on stage at the world’s most prestigious music halls.
