Bruin Benefit Raises Record-Breaking $464,086
The 32nd annual Bruin Benefit Celebrazione raised a record-breaking $464,086 (net) on Saturday, April 27, 2024.
We honored the following new Hall of Fame inductees for their unending loyalty to the school:
- David Knowles ’65 – Outstanding Alumnus
- Bob Kane ’68 – Outstanding Alumnus
- Wayne Ligato ’68 – Outstanding Alumnus
- Beth Biasiotta Adams ’90 – Outstanding Alumna
- Dr. Ulyana Horodyskyj Peña ’03 – Outstanding Alumna
- + Deacon Bob and Mary Ann Kaminski – Franciscan Medal (Couple)
- The Kurtz Family of Companies – Franciscan Medal (Company)
President David Stec ’86 and Vice President of Advancement Tony Shuman ’91 brought humor and passion as they led the Hall of Fame Induction, live auction and Fund-A-Bruin segments of the evening.
Senior Lance Pickel ’24 shared his story about getting a Padua education, serving on a mission trip to Tanzania, and his gratitude for Padua’s supportive faculty and staff. Generous donors helped enhance various programs, resources and opportunities, which made all the difference throughout his high school career. He will graduate from Padua with honors this spring. He is planning to attend the University of South Carolina or The Ohio State University in the fall.
